Privacy Policy For CaptionFlow
This Privacy Policy explains how Caption Flow ("Caption Flow", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services. Caption Flow helps users generate AI captions for videos, customize caption styles, and export captioned videos.
By using Caption Flow, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
If you sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, profile photo, Google account identifier, and authentication information needed to create and maintain your Caption Flow account.
Video, audio, and caption content
When you choose a video for caption generation, the app may process the video file, extract audio, upload audio or related content to our AI caption processing service, and generate captions. Your video, audio, captions, project metadata, thumbnails, selected language, selected template, export settings, and exported video details may be stored locally on your device and, where required for app functionality, processed through our service providers.
Purchase and credit information
Caption Flow uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. We may store information such as purchased product IDs, credit balance, video limit status, purchase status, and related entitlement details. We do not collect or store your full payment card number, bank details, or Google Play payment credentials.
Device and usage information
We may collect app usage data, crash logs, diagnostic information, device type, operating system version, app version, and performance information to improve stability, security, and user experience.
2. Permissions Used by the App
Caption Flow may request access to:
- Videos or media files, so you can select a video for caption generation.
- Camera, if you choose to record a video from inside the app.
- Internet, so the app can sign in, process captions, sync account data, and complete purchases.
- Storage or media access where required by your Android version to save or read video files.
We request permissions only when they are needed for app features. You can manage permissions from your device settings.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Generate AI captions for videos.
- Create, save, and manage caption projects.
- Apply templates, fonts, styles, and export settings.
- Manage sign-in, credits, purchases, and video limit upgrades.
- Provide customer support and respond to user requests.
- Detect, prevent, and fix errors, abuse, fraud, and security issues.
- Improve app performance, features, and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and Google Play requirements.
4. Third-Party Services
Caption Flow may use trusted third-party services, including:
- Google Firebase, for authentication, cloud data, app diagnostics, and related backend functionality.
- Google Sign-In, for account login.
- Google Play Billing, for in-app purchases, credits, and video limit upgrades.
- AI transcription or caption generation providers, to process audio and generate captions.
These services may process information according to their own privacy terms and security practices. We do not sell your personal or sensitive user data.
5. Video and Audio Processing
Caption Flow is designed to process only the videos you choose. We do not intentionally access your media unless you select it or record it for app functionality. Audio extracted from your selected video may be sent to AI caption generation services to create captions. Please do not upload videos that contain sensitive, private, illegal, or third-party content unless you have the right to process that content.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Some project files, thumbnails, captions, and exported videos may be stored locally on your device. Account, credit, and entitlement information may be stored using Firebase or similar backend services. We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
If you delete local projects or exported files, copies stored on your device may be removed depending on your action and Android storage behavior. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize account data unless we need to retain limited information for legal, fraud prevention, billing, security, or compliance reasons.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy actions depending on the laws that apply in your region.
8. Payments and Refunds
Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles payment processing, payment credentials, purchase approval, and refund requests. We do not receive your full payment card or bank details.
If a purchase is refunded, cancelled, charged back, or reversed, related credits, coins, video limit upgrades, or other paid benefits may be removed or adjusted.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information, including secure transmission where applicable. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children and Age Restriction
Caption Flow is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International Processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect information according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, the Play Store listing, or another reasonable method. The updated policy will be effective when posted.
